Daniel Douglas-Wright appointed as Investment Director

The Private Office (TPO), has announced the appointment of Daniel Douglas-Wright to Investment Director.

Daniel has over 10 years’ experience in the investment and wealth management industry, including seven years conducting fund research and four years in portfolio management.

He joined TPO from Close Brothers in January 2020 as an Investment Analyst mainly covering fixed interest and alternative fund research along with providing macro-economic analysis.

Daniel was made Head of Investments at TPO in November 2021 where he was responsible for co-managing TPO’s Advisory portfolio proposition – which includes TPOs Managed, Passive, ESG and Income portfolios and has £2.1bn funds under management.

Daniel is highly qualified for this role. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder, passed the CFA certificate in ESG investing, holds a Masters in Finance from London Business School and was named in PAM’s 2023 NextGen Leaders list.

In his new role, Daniel will report to Nigel Yeo - the Chief Operating Officer (COO) who sits on the company’s executive board.

Nigel Yeo, says “I’ve worked with Dan for over four years, and he has been pivotal in developing TPO’s investment proposition. By elevating Dan to this exciting role we are confident that his deep understanding of our clients and adviser needs, as well as his in-depth knowledge of the investment portfolios that he has had a key role in developing over the last few years, means that he is the best man for the job."

Daniel adds “I’m excited about the new challenge not just in terms of my new role but also the direction of TPO. My continued focus will be the management of the portfolios on behalf of our clients at a time where uncertainty persists in financial markets”.

In his spare time, Dan runs marathons and is determined to complete one in under three hours! At his latest outing at the Manchester marathon, he missed that target by just four minutes – but he’ll be back soon!
