Claudia Clay
As Director of Quality Assurance, I am responsible for the organisation’s compliance oversight and anti-money laundering functions. My team is accountable for regulatory governance, systems, and controls, and my approach to risk management is driven by client-centricity aligned with pragmatism and logic.
I began my financial services career as an administrator in our family IFA business, where I soon qualified as a financial adviser, gaining valuable experience working with clients and in running a company. I took up a brief posting with the Police in 2004, before returning to financial services in 2007 as an adviser and subsequently regional manager with one of the world’s largest retail banks.
Having chosen to specialise in Compliance and Regulation, I joined The Private Office in 2012, and through my role as an Executive Board Director, I take great pride in helping build a business that focuses on strong cultural values and meeting the needs and objectives of a hugely diverse client population.
When I am not at work
Away from work, I enjoy travel, reading, horse riding, Pilates and spending time with my family. I have also recently taken up Zumba which is a revelation!
My qualifications
- BA(Hons) Law and Management from Lincoln University
- Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
- Certificate in Mortgage Advice
